In 1979, Mark and Kim Lum opened their first family restaurant on the Gold Coast.  It was the Pagoda Chinese Restaurant on the Gold Coast Highway.  After many years there serving the Burleigh locals, they shifted to the Burleigh Bears Leagues Club as the Bears Den.  From there, shifted to Mermaid Waters to the Q Super Centre where Lummys was born.  15 years on, shifted again up Bermuda Street to Lakeview @ Mermaid.  In January 2019, Mark and Kim retired and Lummys doors

were closed.  However due to popular demand and the passing of the family secrets to son Nathan and daughter in law Amanda, Lummys 2.0 was re born at Burleigh Waters.
